Newborn Photo Session Experience
Your baby is only a newborn for a short time, and those early days are filled with so many special moments that you'll want to remember forever. Professional newborn photo session captures your baby’s first days of life in a simple, pure and timeless way, so that you can cherish and look back on them for years to come. During our session I will capture all the little details that make your baby unique, such as their tiny fingers and toes, their wispy hair, and their delicate features. These details are worth capturing as your newborn baby will change in a blink of an eye.
Safety
Your baby's safety is my utmost priority! My studio space is carefully design to maintain and create safe and comfortable environment for your precious baby. I am an experienced professional newborn photographer who has been trained in posing newborns safety. My sessions are baby-led and I always pose in a secure and comfortable way. I use very soft and delicate fabrics and gentle props that are specifically designed for newborn photography. I am committed to provide a safe and nurturing environment for both you and your baby during our newborn session.
Booking your session
Newborn babies are best photographed under 12 days of life. This is when they are most sleepy, curled up and easily posed.
The best time to book your newborn session is before your baby is born, whilst still pregnant to guarantee a slot.
When booking your newborn photography session you will be required to sign a contract and pay the session fee. There will be a small questionnaire form, that you will be asked to fill, we will discuss the style of your session and any special requirements that you may have.
I will email you a preparation guide on what to expect during the session and how to best prepare your family.

-the Newborn Print Collection starting at £489 or the Digital Collection starting at £389.

NEWBORN Session Fee £149
To book and secure your Newborn session date, a £149 non-refundable session fee is required.
The session fee is for the time and talent of the photographer and it is due upfront in order to secure the session date.
The session fee includes:
- pre- session online consultation and preparation guide,
- customised 2 hours session time at home, outdoor location or our studio,
- use of client wardrobe and newborn props,
- a private online gallery with all the images from the session to choose from (50-100 images),
- our signature editing and retouching of your images.
Digital and Print Collections are purchased separately on the day of the session. Payment plans are offered.

THE PREMIUM WOOD WINDOW FOLIO BOX (included in Signature and Premium Collection)
8x10" Premium Wooden Window Boxes are made using Black Walnut from the Appalachian Mountains – the finest Walnut growing district in the world. It's the same material that has been used for furniture in the Louvre, Palais de Versailles and Buckingham Palace! This is then sprayed with either varnish or a painted finish. The boxes are then over-sprayed with anti scratch coatings. A veneered box offers a much more stable platform for a long life and also delivers a luxury feel and experience.
THE WINDOW
The box features a crystal clear tempered glass window in which your favourite image can be displayed. The crystal clear nature of the glass will ensure your work is always seen at is very best. Because it is tempered glass, it is extremely tough and durable and won't scratch an acrylic alternative can be prone to doing.
INTERIOR
The interior of the box is lined out in a luxurious soft touch material to both present and protect the matted prints, and the gunmetal hinges are both practical and stylish.
ADDING TO THE EXPERIENCE
It's all about the experience. That's why we also include a pair of white cotton gloves and a lens cloth with every box.
ULTIMATE LOCKING MATS
The Ultimate Locking Mat's patented design guarantees that your prints will never slip. They are a top loading, heavyweight bevel cut mat with a unique slide and lock design.
They allow you to easily slide in your print and lock it in place but they are also completely re-usable. Simply slide out the print and you're ready to use the mat again.
The techy bits:
The mats have a white core throughout and are made from a professional Archival board, which conforms to the Fine Art Guild requirements for Conservation (Level 2). The core is made from alpha cellulose fibres, featuring a soft, natural, white colour that will remain white. Each board is alkaline-sized, acid-free and calcium carbonate buffered for enhanced durability and longevity. Being conservation quality, boards are lignin-free with no optical brighteners. Cover papers are colourfast, resillient and bleed-resistant. The front board is the same as the back board giving it a really top end look and feel.
THE FOLIO BOX (included in Classic and Basic Collection)
8x10" Beautifully handmade box with matted prints and USB. The interior of the box is beautifully finished in a plush black velvet. Bigger sizes available.

Newborn Session tips
PRE PREP FOR PARENTS
The following list is to help you pre-pare for your baby’s first photo shoot, so you can sit back and relax
• Wear comfortable, lightweight clothing as the temperature of the studio is VERY hot for the comfort of your baby
• Pack a spare change of clothes just in case there are any little accidents
• Bring a pacifier – even if you are not using one, as they can be very helpful during the session
• Tea, coffee, light snacks and bottled water will be provided
• If you are formula-feeding bring with you extra bottles just in case
• For older children, bring along a couple of their favorite toys or books to keep them entertained.

My studio space is carefully design to maintain and create safe and comfortable environment for your precious baby. I carefully regulate the studio temperature to keep your baby warm during posing. I use very soft and delicate, pure cotton and bamboo fabrics and gentle props that are specifically designed for newborn photography.

When should I book my newborn session?
I recommend booking whilst you are still pregnant, during the first or second trimester. I am going to book you in around 7-10 days after your due date. Once your baby arrives we can then reschedule the date for your newborn session. Booking in advance will guarantee your slot within the first 2 weeks of your baby's life.
What do you wear to a newborn session?
Wear simple neutral, white, cream t-shirt, shirt, jeans, leggings, dresses, anything that's comfortable. I shoot from the waist up and focus on the baby. Don't forget to bring a black t-shirt, vest for some timeless portrait on the black background.
How long does a session last?
Every session is different and customised to the specific family and a baby. They are completely baby-led with plenty of time for feeding and cuddle. The session usually last 3 hours. We start at 10am and finish by 1-2pm.
